Chamber Ensemble of Moravia Brass Band will be live, closely and exclusively available to the various questions and ready to get the youth excited about music. After all, they are great players in orchestras as well as soloists. They will introduce brass instruments to young listeners, encourage them to think about the differences in the sound of each instrument and help children to find their way around all the different types of brass instruments with their original explanations and arguments.

Free entrance for schools

Children shall experience a euphoric feeling of applause for a great musical performance, which can motivate them to try some of the instruments personally and perhaps even become professional musicians. The educational series for pupils from 1st to 9th grade of primary schools in Valtice, Lednice, Hlohovec and Charvátská Nová Ves (approx. 1500 children) will focus on musical activities linked to this year’s festival programme. The concerts are based on traditional dances and folk music, which is timeless and relevant until these days. Its catchy rendition will draw the youth and their teachers into the dance rhythms of Balkan brass music and show the children the difference between the folk music of the South and ours. The programme will be complemented by other musical styles (film soundtrack etc.).

Building a relationship with classical music in children (aged 6–15) is the purpose of all our education programmes. It is certain that not every child has an ear for music, but they can be musical at a basic level. Music tends to make them more focused, calm and determined to improve their own skills.

Primary school Valtice

The primary school in Valtice is also attended by children from Hlohovec and Úvaly and the facilities have been far from sufficient for the growing number of children. Therefore, the town, with the help of Johann II, Prince of Liechtenstein, proceeded to build a new school building, which was inaugurated on 17 June 1877.

Primary school Lednice

The building of the primary school in Charvátská Nová Ves was consecrated on 24 October 1876. Following a request from the mayors of the back-then independent municipalities of Poštorná and Charvátská Nová Ves, it was built by Johann II, Prince of Liechtenstein, in return for a 15-year lease of the hunting district.

Primary school Charvátská Nová Ves

The building of the primary school in Charvátská Nová Ves was consecrated on 24 October 1876. Following a request from the mayors of the back-then independent municipalities of Poštorná and Charvátská Nová Ves, it was built by Johann II, Prince of Liechtenstein, in return for a 15-year lease of the hunting district.

Primary school Hlohovec

With the help of Johann II, Prince of Liechtenstein, Hlohovec proceeded to build a new school building for the municipal school. It was inaugurated on 17 June 1877. After the construction of a new primary school in 1912 nearby, to which he contributed a considerable sum, it was used as a kindergarten. Both schools serve their purpose up to these days.
