Topic: The Golden Carriage in Motion – Baroque through Children’s Eyes

This workshop connects music, movement, and visual art with the aim of developing children’s creativity and their aesthetic perception of cultural heritage. Through artistic activities and a music-and-movement experience, the children will be transported into the Baroque era — a time full of movement, emotion, and splendour.
The introductory part will present the theme of the Golden Carriage as a symbol of Baroque magnificence and its ornamental decoration, which will serve as inspiration for the children’s own creations. While listening to Baroque music, they will focus on rhythm, dynamics, and movement, which they will later translate into artistic gesture.
The main part of the workshop will take the form of a movement-based painting performance, in which music transforms into movement and movement into visual expression. Together, the children will create a collective large-format painting using golden oil pastels on a red background, inspired by the shapes, golden ornaments, and energy of Baroque art. The process will be documented on video to capture the uniqueness of the moment.
The workshop offers children space for a creative dialogue between history, music, movement, and artistic expression. The result will not only be an artwork, but also a lived experience of the Baroque world through their own bodies, emotions, and imagination.
The total duration of the workshop is planned for two hours.
