International Stars of Classical Music and Jazz Debut in the Czech Republic Thanks to the Theme Music from the New World
The 10th edition of the Lednice–Valtice Music Festival (LVHF) took place in its main programme section from 20 September to 18 October 2025. Each year, LVHF presents a new artistic concept, and the anniversary edition embraced Music from the New World as its unifying theme. It introduced the most significant composers from the United States while also highlighting the contribution of Czech masters who drew inspiration from America and whose works were often shaped by the music of the American continent. Their compositions were performed by both Czech and international artists, many of whom appeared in the Czech Republic for the very first time.
From the Festival Prologue to the LVHF 2025 Closing Gala, the programme featured 27 prominent composers connected to the main dramaturgical theme. One of the concerts also paid tribute to the Valtice Music Collection, which preserves the musical heritage of the Order of the Brothers Hospitallers in Moravia.
The programme structure of the anniversary LVHF included 13 concerts, including the Festival Prologue and two major educational concerts for children. In addition, LVHF organised three music-and-art workshops for primary and grammar school students and three thematic lectures. All events were supported by strong promotional activities, allowing the festival to make full use of the beautiful venues throughout the Lednice–Valtice Area.
The festival welcomed 4,068 visitors (an increase of 9.5% compared to the previous year), including 1,110 children and young people under 18. The ratio of male to female visitors was balanced. Alongside Czech audiences, LVHF traditionally attracts guests from Slovakia and Austria.
Social Responsibility
Each year, the organisers of LVHF dedicate attention to charitable initiatives. In 2025, the festival donated CZK 20,000 to the Masaryk Memorial Cancer Institute, the largest oncology centre in the Czech Republic. Its main mission is to provide top-quality patient care, closely linked to the institute’s long-term development and fulfilment of its purpose.

Over the course of ten years, the festival has succeeded in convincing numerous companies that supporting culture enhances not only the cultural life of the region but also has a synergistically positive impact on community life and the overall quality of life for local residents.
