The great Prague Radio Trio takes charge of this year’s LVHF educational concerts. And what will the children learn? The oboe, clarinet and bassoon basics – what their construction is, what they can do and how to practice them properly. There will also be space to talk about the importance of the overall musician training and we will talk with the children about how music affects us and what emotions it evokes in us in the part with the reading. Compositions by Antonín Dvořák, Bedřich Smetana, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ludwig van Beethoven will be performed. The concerts are intended as part of school teaching for local primary schools’ pupils. Length approximately 50 minutes. Concerts are presented in Czech. Free entrance until the capacity is full, necessary seats reservation in advance at prodej@lvhf.cz

Prague Radio Trio
Lukáš Pavlíček (Oboe)
Lukáš Dittrich (Clarinet)
Libor Soukal (Bassoon)

Concerts are intended for pupils of the local schools within their tution programme. Prague Radio Trio was founded by members of Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra – Lukáš Pavlíček, Lukáš Dittrich and Libor Soukal – and regularly records for the Czech Radio, which is the main patron of the trio, and stands out on his public events and concerts. In addition, the trio performs abroad (Japan, Germany, Austria, etc.) and tries to popularize Czech music culture in this way. Educational concerts for adolescents and youth in orphanages in cooperation with Mimo domov organization are among the most appreciated. The repertoire of the ensemble includes compositions from the baroque period (J. S. Bach, G. Ph. Telemann), classical period (W. A. Mozart, L. van Beethoven, F. Kramář) and 20th century as well (B. Martinů, I. Krejčí, D. Milhaud). The first CD of the trio is the Mozart–Krejčí–Ille–Schulhoff, released in 2020.

Oboist Lukáš Pavlíček studied at the Prague Conservatory, followed by studies at the Music Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and briefly the Salzburg Mozarteum under the direction of Stefan Schilli. Nowadays, he is a soloist of the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Pilsen Philharmonic Orchestra and regularly cooperates with important Czech chamber ensembles.

Clarinetist Lukáš Dittrich studied at the Brno Conservatory and subsequently at Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts. He has won numerous awards at the Czech and international competitions and is now a soloist of the Czech Philharmonic, Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, Brno Philharmonic and other ensembles.

Bassoonist Libor Soukal graduated from the Prague Conservatory and Music Academy of Performing Arts. He now works as a solo player of the Prague State Opera and the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra and regularly cooperates with the Prague Wind Octet.
