Under the motto The Golden Carriage\u2019s French Journey<\/em>, the eleventh Lednice-Valtice Music Festival followed in the footsteps of Joseph Wenzel I, Prince of Liechtenstein, and his diplomatic mission to the French court in 1738. Over 29 days, from 19 September to 17 October 2026, the festival presented 13 concerts, three lectures and a varied educational programme for children. The festival welcomed 4 551<\/strong> visitors, including 1 490<\/strong> children and young people under the age of 18, and presented works by 39 composers.<\/p>\n Highlights of the festival included performances by artists from the Royal Opera of the Palace of Versailles under conductor Ga\u00e9tan Jarry, the opening concert featuring Collegium 1704 and Collegium Vocale 1704 conducted by V\u00e1clav Luks, and the closing gala concert with soprano Sandra Hamaoui, the Bohuslav Martin\u016f Philharmonic Orchestra and conductor Ji\u0159\u00ed Habart. The festival presented three world premieres: two new works by Czech composers and a children\u2019s performance entitled The French Ballet Fairy Tale<\/em>. A new addition to the programme was the Film and Music Club in Mikulov, featuring a screening of Indes Galantes<\/em> and a performance by DJ Djei Gogo.<\/p>\n Music is not the only value at the heart of LVHF; caring for the surrounding environment is equally important. In 2026, the festival joined forces with volunteers to support the restoration of a small wooded area near \u00davaly, close to the Czech-Austrian border, which had previously been used as an illegal dumping site.
